Whirlpool Upright Fridge

I bought my refrigerator about ten years ago and it's still going strong. It's a Whirlpool standard upright fridge with the freezer on the top and refrigerator on the bottom.

It is a frost free model with a built in ice maker. When I bought it there was a energy saving sticker on it but to tell the truth I didn't notice it saved any more money on my electric bill then the one I had before it.

I must admit the one I had before was a Kenmore and was much older with many more "health" problems. While it has been relatively problem free and is quite large enough for my heavy duty shopping there are certain features I don't care for.

On the door there is a small dairy enclosure with a clear lid that can be raised and lowered to store butter. Almost immediately after purchase I went to lift the door and it popped out into hand.

The lid lasted about three years before one of the prongs finally broke and I tossed it. I would also appreciate vegetable bins that are a little easier to remove for the weekly cleaning I put on it.

The way my kitchen is built I can't open the door wide enough to easily remove one of the drawers and it now sports a pretty decent crack where I've had to force it on more than one occasion.

All small design flaws aside I would have to say that I am quite happy with my Whirlpool refridgerator and it's been very good to me. I wouldn't be surprised to see it last another ten years.
