Whirlpool single door refrigerator - Think twice

I have Whirlpool single door refrigerator every two years I have to change its Thermostat , It costs me Rs.500 to 700 every time , Earlier I had Godrej brand which i used for almost 10 years with out any problem. Repenting on my decision to buy Whirlpool refrigerator

Faults start in the second year

I will agree with Mr.Raj. I have also replaced my thermostat once and to my utter horror last week the door fell off and one of the shelves broke. On checking the hinge pin it was found to be a casting which had failed due to material defect. It’s 10 days since we are still awaiting for the part and not once the company or the service center have called to inform me when my fridge will be repaired. I have followed up with them daily but no definite answer “2-3 days please co-operate”. Never buy a WHIRLPOOL product I will never buy one. They will spend millions on advertisements but let down loyal customers and will not even attend to faults for free even if it’s their mistake. Buy a WHIRLPOOL at your on risk.

we had bought a 300+ litre, single door godrej fridge in gurgaon. the door handle broke in 3 months, the cooling has never been comparable with our single door videcon, also 300 litres plus.

We have never used a whirpool refrigerator ourselves, but my dad has had one for many years, without problems.
