I purchased a new refrigerator in 2005 when i shifted to my new house. It was bought from M/s Quilon Radio Service for Rs.12500/-. Its “whirlpool f 23 classic plus ice magic cooler refrigerator. It is of shining dark red color. The refrigerator is spacious enough for small family like mine. It is a double door model.

It has three racks on the inner side of the door, the height of which can be adjusted. The freezer is kept at top. At the lower portion it has a fibre box to store vegetables. Above that there are three racks that can be adjusted. I have been experiencing its performance for the last six years. i never faced any problem in its performance.

Actually it is much faster than my old refrigerator in making ice cubes. It makes ice cubes instantly. Refrigerators are intended to be on for twenty-four hours a day. hence i preferred a model that consumes minimum power.

The model i bought is of five star rated. Even though it never had a failure in its functioning i have noticed a defect in it recently. The lower and upper parts of the doors and the lower portion of the body at the opening side of the door are rusted.

I have given great care to maintain the refrigerator in tact. However it happened. I don't know whether it is due to low quality of the material. Anyway i have done nothing to rub the rust off it. Actually i am satisfied with the performance of this "whirlpool" refrigerator. That is why i hitherto haven't a chance to call the customer care service.
