LG refrigerator with energy star

I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. My decision was made by reccommendations from my friends, and that the new refrigerator had to be an energy star. My old refrigerator a GE was only 5 years old, but was running constantly, and blowing very hot air out of the bottom.
After replacing my old refrigerator to the new LG, I notice a $10.00 savings on my electric bill. I chose the french door model with just water in the door, the ice is separate, and is located on the top shelf in the freezer The model with both ice and water takes away space in the door. I also chose the stainless steel model.
When I purchased my new refridgerator, I liked the idea of a bottom freezer, but did not anticipate my toddler constantly opening the freezer. I also like the layout of this model. I can place two full sheet cakes in there and still have plenty of room.
The one downside I have noticed with LG is the water filters. They are rather costly than the rest, but since I have not had any problems with my refrigerator, and I only replace the filter twice a year, the cost is easily absorbed.
This refrigerator is well made. With three young children under 12, I needed one that can handle the abuse. So far, nothing has broken, and if one of the doors is not closed, the refrigerator makes a beeping sound to let you know. Since I have not had any problems with the LG brand, I have also replaced my washer, dryer, microwave and dishwasher with the LG brand.
I love them all and they are all energy efficient and make doing routine work more enjoyable because of the dependability.
